The project will be delivered through a series of in-country workshops with 6 Country leads selecting 20 midwives to participate in each country (120 in total) for training and development of research skills and evidence based practice.

3 out of the 20 midwives in each country (18 in total) would be identified for specific mentoring and advanced training in research skills.

Delphi surveys will be used for consensus on country and regional research priorities to be developed.

Expected Outcome

The research priorities will be used for the midwives to generate research grant applications with the 18 researchers being actively engaged in research produced and the 120 midwives having developed skills to engage and critically evaluate practice and research.
