Kushupika Dube is a Masters prepared midwife who majored in Maternal and Child Health (MCH) in the University of Zimbabwe. Presently employed by the Ministry of Health and Child Care as a Principal Tutor co-ordinating national training in the largest midwifery school in the Southern region of Zimbabwe. She does lecturing, research and clinical supervision of undergraduate and post-graduate Midwifery & Nursing students in the National University of Science & Technology and Zimbabwe Open University.

She is the country lead for the LAMRN Stillbirth project in Zimbabwe working in collaboration with The University of Manchester.  She has acquired skills in research, midwifery clinical audit and publishing scientific papers through LAMRN. In 2015 she did a course on Women’s Health Across their Life Span in the University of Cairo in Egypt, which probed her interest in SRHR and recently attained a Diploma with Lund University Sweden. She spearheaded established of a Research and Preconception care units in the institution aimed at providing evidence based care, preventive & promotive health care interventions to youths and women of child bearing age. She is an Editorial Board Member and reviewer of the African Journal of Midwives articles and reviews ECSACON abstracts.

Her strengths are self –actualization, motivation and capacity building. She was recently awarded a scholarship by the Division of Development and Alumni Relations (DDAR) through the University of Manchester University and is excited to pursue her PhD studies.
